And that’s where you come in. **Job Description:** Hitachi Rail Portugal is currently seeking a **Project Manager** to join our team and lead the execution of **railway signaling and control** projects. This role is essential to ensure project delivery excellence, stakeholder alignment, operational performance and customer satisfaction across all phases of the project lifecycle. **A Project Manager is responsible for:** * Project Initialization * Project Launch Review (Baseline Review) * Project Execution, monitoring and controlling * Delivery and invoicing of project deliverables * Capture of Project Lesson Learnt * Project Closure **Technical \& Professional Skills** * Core Project Management knowledge and skills; * Application of resource management, project planning and management methods; * Understanding of project lifecycle, from requirements to preliminary and detailed design phases, development, integration, verification and validation, down to test and commissioning and acceptance of a railway solution ( **signaling and control** ); * Good knowledge of the railway industry organisation structures, standards, workflows, operating procedures and terminology; * Team management skills and team motivation skills; * Good problem solving skills with experience of developing \& implementing customer focused solutions and resolving high level operational challenges **Education and Qualifications** * Electrotechnical Engineer Degree or equivalent * Previous experience \+ 5 years in similar roles. * Member of the Portuguese Engineering Association (“Ordem dos Engenheiros” or “Ordem dos Engenheiros Técnicos) * Experience in ground transportation project management (recommended) * English (mandatory) and French (recommended) communication skills * IPMA level C certification or above (recommended). **Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
