Job Summary: We are seeking a Production Operator to operate and monitor machinery, ensuring quality, safety, and continuity of the production process at an electric cable manufacturing company. Opportunity for career progression and continuous training We are recruiting a Production Operator for a leading company in the electric cable industry, located in Vila Nova de Gaia. Responsibilities: Operate and monitor production machines and equipment, ensuring compliance with established quality and safety standards. Perform machine adjustments and fine-tuning, as well as resolve minor malfunctions, ensuring uninterrupted production. Carry out quality control of products at various production stages, verifying conformity with technical specifications. Complete production records and daily activity reports, contributing to process control and optimization. Collaborate in organizing and maintaining the workstation, ensuring cleanliness and order in the production environment. Actively participate in implementing continuous improvements to processes and working conditions. Strictly adhere to the company’s current safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations. Requirements: Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably operating industrial production machinery. Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly. Accuracy, responsibility, and attention to detail in task execution. Availability to work rotating shifts and flexible hours. Minimum educational qualification: 9th grade. Working Hours €960 base salary + €8.50 meal allowance + €10 night shift allowance + 50% overtime on holidays + SF/SN + €50 weekend bonus Work schedules – Rotating shifts Monday to Friday: 06:00–14:00; 14:00–22:00; 22:00–06:00 or 07:00–15:00; 15:00–23:00 or 23:00–07:00; and weekend shifts: 07:00–19:00 (Saturday and Sunday), plus 8 hours distributed across two days the following week.
