**barpa/Argon is looking for a Telecommunications Engineering Technician**
At barpa, we are not just looking for another technical profile. We seek someone curious, eager to get hands-on, and passionate about the telecommunications world — someone who recognizes a well-organized rack, isn’t intimidated by a patch panel, and sees every challenge as an opportunity to learn, experiment, and grow.
**Purpose of the Role**
To reinforce barpa’s technical positioning in the telecommunications sector through continuous development and knowledge sharing with clients, internal teams, and technical entities, supporting resolution of challenges and pre- and post-sales activities.
**What You Will Do**
* Get hands-on with structured cabling projects: fiber optics, copper, racks — the entire ecosystem.
* Provide technical support and training to both clients and internal teams. Yes, you must be able to explain things clearly.
* Collaborate on creating technical content: articles, guides — whatever it takes to help the industry better understand what we do.
* Stay updated on standards (ISO, CENELEC) without dozing off mid-reading.
* Solve real problems with real clients — not exam simulations.
**Requirements**
* Higher education degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related field;
* Knowledge in telecommunications and structured networking;
* Ability to understand, operate, and interpret results from certification equipment;
* Strong communication skills and ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both clients and internal teams;
* Proficiency in Portuguese and English;
* Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office tools;
* Capacity for learning, proactivity, organization, and teamwork;
* Customer orientation, problem-solving orientation, and continuous improvement orientation
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related field;
* Professional experience in roles related to telecommunications, structured cabling, or technical support;
* Knowledge or training in ITED, ITUR, and other sector-specific standards or regulations;
* Pedagogical Competence Certificate (CCP);
* Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies;
* Knowledge of Spanish and/or French.
**Day-to-Day Work**
You will be deeply involved in real technical work: trainings, direct client contact, pre-sales consulting, product analysis, and practical, usable content. No isolated departments doing things nobody else understands. Here, everyone knows what their colleague next door does.
**Conditions:**
* Contract start date: 10/06/2026
* Role performed both at the Organization’s headquarters and during national and international travel
* 1-year contract
* Working hours: Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM–6:00 PM | Friday: 8:30 AM–12:30 PM
Type of position: Full-time
Benefits:
* Childcare allowance
* Meal voucher/card
* Free parking
* Health insurance
Work location: On-site
