Join an international Data Science network **Introduction** -------------- Spoiler alert: by continuing to read this job posting, you may find the ideal place to… ✅ Build a career; ✅ Be part of a top-tier team environment; ✅ Receive attractive compensation; **Your Responsibilities** ----------------------------- As a Consultant at \#teamlidl, you are the guardian of our quality seal: ensuring seamless business operations and making productivity the freshest item in our assortment! * You will act as a strategic partner to business and administrative areas, supporting decision-making and optimizing processes through advanced data analytics; * You will bring fresh perspectives to complex challenges—such as assortment optimization or strategic store location—applying rigorous statistical modeling; * You will analyze and interpret large, complex datasets to generate actionable business insights and promote a data-driven management culture; * You will be responsible for the full lifecycle development (conception, validation, implementation, and monitoring) of Machine Learning models supporting strategic initiatives and improving our results; * You will join an international Data Science network, collaborating with teams across countries to share knowledge and deploy global solutions within the Lidl ecosystem. **Your Profile** ---------------- Being a Lidl fan is already “half the journey”! * You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Management, Economics, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related fields with relevant analytical specialization; * You have proven professional experience managing analytical projects and handling large volumes of data (ETL), applying advanced statistical techniques; * You possess strong proficiency in Python (mandatory) and SQL, with expertise in libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit\-learn, and XGBoost/LightGBM; * You have advanced experience developing and deploying ML models, applying regression techniques, time-series analysis (e.g., Prophet, Statsmodels), or efficacy testing (A/B tests, hypothesis testing) to solve business problems; * You demonstrate proficiency in data processing using PySpark, coupled with familiarity with cloud ecosystems such as Databricks, Azure, GCP, or AWS; * Experience developing dashboards and data visualizations in BI tools like Microstrategy, PowerBI, or Tableau is valued; * You can interpret business questions and complex contexts, analyzing them in detail to develop data-driven solutions and communicating results clearly, structurally, and effectively to non-technical audiences; * You are fluent in English; German language skills are a plus; * You are able to work under tight deadlines, deliver accurate results, and remain goal-oriented; * You possess strong self-motivation, a positive attitude, and the ability to proactively and independently solve problems.
