




Job Summary: The Technical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the building and operational equipment by executing preventive and corrective maintenance plans. This vacancy may be for you!** Technical Maintenance (m/f) The Engineering & Infrastructures Department is responsible for managing all company facilities in Portugal, ensuring they meet DHL business requirements. It negotiates agreements related to current and future facilities, manages relationships with DHL Group Construction and Engineering teams (Sorting Systems), and coordinates with suppliers and business partners. Procurement, Fleet, and Engineering & Maintenance divisions are also integral parts of this department. The Technical Maintenance role falls within this department and aims to ensure the proper functioning of the building, as well as sorting and automated parcel handling equipment and other operational equipment, through execution of Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Plans. It ensures interface with suppliers and partners providing equipment repair and maintenance services, as well as timely provision of activity-related information in accordance with DHL Service Standards and applicable safety requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** * Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on automated parcel sorting and handling systems, as well as other operational equipment, including simple corrective maintenance required for the building. * Operate SCADA-type systems for automated sorting and handling equipment during Import, Export, and Night operational cycles, and coordinate with operational teams during stoppages or process changes. * Record faults across various building equipment, including the sorter and automated handling system, and report maintenance requirements to external suppliers as needed. * Monitor corrective and preventive maintenance activities performed by external suppliers. * Efficiently use automatic tape dispensers to ensure correct parcel classification and accurate data entry into IT systems or daily operational reporting (where applicable). **Profile:** * Vocational technical qualification in Automation and Robotics or Industrial Mechanics (preferred); minimum: completed 12th grade; * Prior experience in Technical Maintenance of servo-mechanisms (preferred); * Knowledge of mechanics (pulley, belt, chain, and conveyor belt transmission); * Knowledge of pneumatics (compression, distribution lines, maintenance and operation of 5/2 solenoid valves); * Knowledge of electricity (electrical panel maintenance, consumption measurement, emergency stops); * Knowledge of electronics/instrumentation (RS 232, RS 486, TCP/IP protocol, photoelectric sensors); * Good command of English (spoken and written); * Proficiency in OFFICE365 and ability to adapt quickly to new IT systems; * Strong time management / flexibility and availability; * Focus on achieving objectives; * Organizational skills; * Good interpersonal skills and active listening; **Working Hours:** 8 hours per day (40 hours per week) on a rotating shift schedule from Sunday (after 20:00) to Saturday (between 06:30 and 11:00), with weekly daily shifts scheduled between 06:30 and 03:00.
