Plumber \- Install, maintain, and repair pipes, fittings, and equipment for hot water, cold water, or sanitary installations, including meters: interpret drawings or other technical specifications; cut and shape pipes manually or mechanically, threading their ends; weld connections of lead or plastic fittings and piping; mark and drill holes or grooves in walls for pipe routing; connect various components using screws, other fittings, or welding, inserting sealing elements as needed; test tightness, especially leak detection in piping systems and re-tightening of fittings; install valves, filters, taps, and meters; repair damaged piping components and verify their operation. Perform other tasks falling within the competencies of the Department of Works, Urban Planning, and Environment and aligned with the duties of an operational assistant. Carry out any other tasks assigned by superiors, in accordance with the functional content of the career. Building Maintenance \- Construct and finish masonry walls made of stone, brick, or other blocks, and install tile roofs, using mortars and handling appropriate tools and machinery: read and interpret drawings and other technical specifications for the work to be carried out; select, cut if necessary, and lay blocks into pre-applied mortar; perform plastering and tile roofing; construct reinforced concrete elements, namely footings, beams, columns, solid slabs, lightweight slabs, and retaining walls. Carry out maintenance tasks on carpentry, painting, tiling, electricity, and other systems in municipal buildings and facilities. Perform other tasks falling within the competencies of the Department of Works, Urban Planning, and Environment and aligned with the duties of an operational assistant. Reference E/2026: Two positions in the Operational Assistant career/category within the functional area of Gardening, requiring compulsory schooling, with no possibility of substituting the required qualification with training and/or professional experience. Gardener – Cultivate flowers, trees, shrubs, or other plants and sow lawns in public parks and gardens, being responsible for all operations inherent to the normal development, maintenance, and conservation of these plantings—such as prior soil preparation, cleaning, irrigation, staking, application of appropriate phytosanitary treatments, and protection against adverse weather conditions; carry out cleaning and conservation of sidewalks and flowerbeds; prepare the soil beforehand, excavate or dig holes, remove stones, replace poor soil with arable soil, and apply manure, fertilizers, or soil amendments when necessary. Specifically for lawns, spread and bury seeds, level the ground, and subsequently compact it, then mow the grass. To ensure proper soil treatment and normal plant growth, the gardener performs hoeing, weeding, fertilizing, and irrigation (automatic or manual), and, when necessary, pruning and application of herbicides or pesticides. Operate various necessary tools—manual or mechanical—and are responsible for cleaning, tuning, lubricating, and maintaining mechanical equipment, performing minor repairs or adjustments on some tools used.
