Team development and compliance with technical standards **Electrical Engineering Director** **Key Responsibilities:** * **Technical and Strategic Management** * Define the vision, strategies, and objectives for the electrical engineering department. * Ensure continuous innovation in electrical projects and technologies. * Coordinate with other departments (production, maintenance, procurement) to optimize processes. * **Project Management** * Supervise all electrical projects from design through execution. * Ensure adherence to deadlines, budgets, and quality standards. * Implement risk and safety management practices for electrical projects. * **Team Leadership and Development** * Lead, motivate, and develop engineers and technicians within the team. * Promote continuous training and technological upskilling of the team. * Evaluate performance and define career development plans for team members. * **Compliance and Technical Standards** * Ensure all electrical systems comply with Portuguese standards (NP, REE) and European standards (IEC, EN). * Monitor applicable environmental and safety regulations. * **Budgeting and Cost Control** * Prepare and manage the department’s budget. * Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or safety. * **Stakeholder Engagement** * Communicate results and strategies to executive leadership. * Interact with clients, suppliers, and strategic technical partners. **Requirements and Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; * Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, including at least 5 years in a leadership role; * In-depth knowledge of technical standards, regulations, and electrical safety; * Experience managing complex, multidisciplinary projects; * Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills; * Fluency in Portuguese and English (spoken and written); * Willingness to travel nationally and internationally, as required. **Behavioral Competencies:** * Inspirational leadership and strategic vision; * Critical thinking and resolution of complex problems; * Results orientation and technological innovation; * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
