We serve businesses (fruit in offices), consumers at home, and restaurants. We are a small, operational, and excellence-oriented team—and we are growing. **The Role** We are looking for an **Operations Manager** with practical experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain—capable of coordinating people, processes, and priorities in a demanding and constantly evolving environment. This is primarily an operational role. Although interaction with suppliers and procurement processes exists, we seek someone passionate about operations management and procurement. The ideal candidate feels comfortable on the ground, enjoys working with teams, uses data to make decisions, and proactively identifies and implements improvements. We also seek someone genuinely enthusiastic about the impact of artificial intelligence on work. We aim to operate at the most advanced levels of innovation and AI-driven automation—so we expect curiosity, learning agility, and familiarity with current tools—including knowing what Claude Code is and understanding its potential. **Responsibilities** (in collaboration with the Head of Operations) *Supporting Daily Operations Management* * Coordinate daily operations, ensuring orders are prepared and dispatched within defined deadlines and quality standards * Organize priorities, tasks, and resources according to order volume * Monitor key operational KPIs and quickly identify deviations or constraints * Resolve operational issues and incidents autonomously and systematically * Ensure coordination among operations, procurement, logistics, and customer support * Guarantee that processes are executed consistently, efficiently, and safely *Supporting Team Management* * Support the operational team on a day-to-day basis * Ensure clear communication regarding priorities, goals, and issues * Foster a culture of accountability, rigor, and continuous improvement *Planning and Control* * Plan operations based on order forecasts, available capacity, and stock levels * Monitor inventory, waste, productivity, preparation times, and service quality * Create and maintain processes, checklists, and operational documentation * Produce analyses and reports to support decision-making * Collaborate with procurement to ensure product availability and prevent stockouts * Identify opportunities to reduce costs and increase efficiency *Continuous Improvement, Automation, and AI* * Identify repetitive tasks or processes that can be simplified and automated * Test and implement digital tools that enhance team productivity * Use artificial intelligence to support analysis, documentation, planning, and problem resolution * Work directly with leadership to implement new operational solutions * Track the evolution of AI tools and explore their practical application at Equal Food **Ideal Candidate Profile** * 1–3 years of experience in operations, logistics, distribution, supply chain, or similar roles * Practical experience coordinating operations and resolving on-the-ground issues * Experience managing or coordinating teams is highly valued * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment with constantly shifting priorities * Organized, rigorous, proactive, and results-oriented profile * Ability to analyze data and translate insights into concrete decisions * Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets * Aptitude for learning and using digital tools * Genuine interest in artificial intelligence, automation, and new ways of working * Familiarity with current mainstream AI tools and knowledge of what Claude Code is * Experience in startups, distribution, or the food industry is a plus **What We Value** More than a perfect resume, we seek a person who: * Takes ownership of operational outcomes * Can swiftly move from analysis to execution * Leads by example and works side-by-side with the team * Questions existing processes and proposes better solutions * Is eager to learn and experiment with new tools * Is excited about building a highly efficient, AI-supported operation **What We Offer** * Salary range between €1,300 and €1,500 per month, adjusted for experience * Meal Card/Ticket * Health Insurance upon confirmation * Direct impact in a growing company * Opportunity to shape and improve operational processes * A demanding, transparent, and execution-focused environment **How to Apply** Send your CV and a brief note explaining: * Your experience in operations and team coordination. * An operational process you helped improve. * Which AI tools you currently use.
