




Job Summary: We are seeking a First Chef to organize, prepare, and plate food in accordance with Malhadinha’s gastronomic concept, emphasizing contemporary author cuisine and estate-grown products. Young and dynamic work environment with career progression The gastronomic concept of the Malhadinha Restaurant is rooted in regional cuisine inspired by traditional Alentejo recipes — a contemporary author cuisine, made possible through the long-term consultancy of Michelin-starred chef Joachim Koerper. The goal is to develop menus that maximize the use of organically produced estate ingredients: Alentejo cattle, black Iberian pigs, and white and black Merino sheep raised extensively, as well as our organic orchards and vegetable gardens, wine, honey, and olive oil. Our objective is to achieve self-sufficiency — i.e., using exclusively raw materials produced on the estate. Mission The First Chef’s primary responsibility is to organize, prepare, cook, and plate food while adhering to Malhadinha’s gastronomic concept and all hygiene and safety standards, ensuring an excellent service that exceeds customer expectations. Required Profile * Vocational training in Culinary Arts; * Minimum 2 years’ professional experience in similar roles, preferably in "haute cuisine"; * Aptitude for distinctive, refined service strongly oriented toward the customer; * Ability to work collaboratively and goal-oriented; * Strong communication skills, adaptability, and interpersonal abilities; * Creativity, proactivity, and dynamism; * Sense of responsibility, organizational ability, and autonomy in task execution.
