Process all types of payments, including room charges, cash, checks, and credit cards. Manage guest departures, including resolution of any outstanding, unpaid, or disputed charges. Log and respond to all guest calls, messages, questions, or requests, and resolve their issues. Collaborate with housekeeping to monitor room preparation prior to guest arrival. Inform guests/visitors about parking procedures and assign bellhops and valets as needed. Orient guests and provide information about the hotel and nearby points of interest. Prepare daily reports (number of arrivals and departures), identify special requests, and verify report accuracy. Complete required system-generated closing and cashier reports. Accept guest bank checks and traveler’s checks. Conduct cash counts at the beginning and end of each shift. Balance and deposit revenues per Accounting specifications. Follow and enforce all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and hazardous working conditions to management. Follow and enforce all brand policies and procedures; wear a clean, complete uniform at all times; maintain a neat and professional appearance while on duty; respect confidentiality when sharing brand- and/or hotel-specific information; and protect all company property. Greet and welcome guests according to company standards, anticipate and meet their needs, assist guests with disabilities, and warmly thank guests upon departure. Use clear and courteous language in all communications; answer the phone using appropriate language. Develop positive, constructive professional relationships with peers. Comply with quality requirements and standards. Be accustomed to standing, sitting, and moving for extended periods. Lift, carry, pull, push, and place items weighing up to 4.5 kilograms independently. Perform all other tasks assigned by supervisors that are consistent with this position.
