At Santander Portugal, we are seeking an **Audit Analyst \- Analytics, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence** to join our Internal Audit area.
**Role Characteristics**
Join the Internal Audit Division, collaborating on the digital transformation of the function through the implementation of automation, advanced analytics, and Artificial Intelligence solutions that enhance the efficiency, quality, and coverage of audit work.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Develop and implement automation solutions to optimize recurring audit tasks;
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of audit processes through emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and advanced data analytics;
* Design and develop automated audit procedures and continuous monitoring mechanisms (Continuous Auditing and Continuous Monitoring);
* Support audit teams in exploring and analyzing large volumes of data to identify risks, anomalies, trends, and relevant patterns;
* Develop tools and solutions based on Generative AI to support audit program preparation, document analysis, report drafting, and knowledge extraction;
* Collaborate on building analytical models to detect anomalous behavior, risk indicators, and opportunities to improve internal controls;
* Promote the adoption of advanced Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Process Mining techniques within Internal Audit;
* Develop dashboards, metrics, and indicators to monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of audit processes;
* Evaluate and implement new technologies contributing to the modernization of the audit function;
* Collaborate with Group international teams on initiatives related to Data Analytics, AI, and the digital transformation of Internal Audit;
* Support the definition and dissemination of best practices for using AI and analytical tools in audit activities.
**Profile**
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent fields;
* Programming and data analysis skills in Python, JavaScript, and PySpark.
* Experience with or familiarity with distributed data environments.
* Knowledge of relational databases, notably MySQL or equivalents.
* Experience with or familiarity with SQL and data management, extraction, and querying tools.
* Familiarity with or experience using Big Data tools and environments such as HUE, Impala, SAS, or equivalents will be valued.
* Interest in or initial experience with front-end development, particularly Angular, PowerApps, visualization tools, or dashboards.
* Experience in process automation and development of analytical solutions.
* Application of data analytics techniques in financial, internal control, or audit contexts.
* Interest in or practical/experimental experience using Generative Artificial Intelligence.
* Knowledge of financial sector processes and associated risks, as well as audit activities, will be valued;
* Strong analytical capability, critical thinking, and problem-solving orientation;
* Communication and interaction skills with multidisciplinary teams and business stakeholders;
* Interest in innovation, new technologies, and digital transformation;
* Intermediate/advanced English proficiency required; Spanish knowledge is also valued.
