We are looking for a **Data Engineering \& BI Lead** to join our Data \& AI team. At our company, you will have the opportunity to combine your technological interests and expertise to help us deliver our solutions to the world’s most advanced and demanding markets! **What will your day-to-day look like at Glintt Next?** * Design, implement, and optimize scalable data architectures (Data Lake/Lakehouse, Warehouses, Data Marts) supporting operational analytics, BI, and ML/Gen\-AI use cases; * Define data models, schemas, and optimized partitions for analytical and AI workloads; * Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of Data Engineers and BI Developers, ensuring mentoring, code\-reviews, sprint planning, and continuous improvement; * Coordinate effort estimation, backlog management, and prioritization within Agile/Scrum methodologies; * Define and oversee highly automated, reliable, and observable data ingestion, transformation, and delivery pipelines (ETL/ELT); * Implement monitoring of data quality, lineage, and platform costs; * Design pipelines for fine\-tuning, RAG, and LLM inference, integrating vector databases and generative AI APIs; * Establish coding standards (Python/PySpark, SQL, Terraform) and promote regular peer\-reviews; * Implement best practices for Data Governance, quality, cataloging, metadata management, and compliance (including GDPR); * Evaluate, recommend, and implement cloud technologies and pipelines aligned with modern architectural standards; * Promote a “data\-driven” culture among stakeholders by presenting roadmaps, value metrics, and analytical storytelling. **What do we expect from you?** * Minimum 5 years’ experience in Data Engineering, including leadership of teams or complex data projects; * Solid experience in ETL/ELT processes, dimensional modeling, and advanced SQL performance tuning; * Experience with cloud-based solutions; * Strong experience in Python/PySpark and familiarity with Scala, advanced SQL, and testing frameworks; * Knowledge of Vector Databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate) and principles of Retrieval\-Augmented Generation (RAG); * Foundational understanding of LLMs (tokenization, embeddings, fine\-tuning) and integration of Gen\-AI APIs; * Experience in Data Observability (lineage, quality, monitoring) and Data Governance (DAMA\-DMBoK, Data Mesh); * Hands-on experience with orchestration tools and containers/Kubernetes; * Strong expertise in visualization solutions (Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio) and data storytelling methodologies; * Ability to facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders; * Advanced English (mandatory) and Spanish (a plus). **What will you find at Glintt Next?** * An outstanding work environment; * Investment in your professional development; * Respect for your individuality; * Autonomy and recognition for your achievements; * Thoughtfully designed facilities to make you feel at home; * Hybrid working model. **What’s our plan for you?** * Participation in challenging technology projects in Portugal and other European countries; * Investment in certifications; * Mentoring; * A career path tailored to your capabilities; * Individualized training plan covering both soft and hard skills. **If you’re still not convinced, we also offer:** * Necessary equipment for performing your role; * Workshops and initiatives promoting a healthy lifestyle; * Variable compensation; * Health insurance; And much more… Are you excited?
