Curiously, despite its enormous bodywork, this coupe was considered a sports car and was in fact iconic for its era. This interesting example, which we are offering for sale, was delivered new in Portugal in 1948; it remains original and is in good overall condition, likely having undergone restoration several years ago. Our Ford super de luxe coupe, equipped with a 3-speed column-mounted gearbox, features a large 3,925 cc V8 engine delivering an impressive 100 hp. At the time, this model was commonly referred to as the “Ford 100 hp”. Today, it is undoubtedly an interesting classic—a fine collector’s item—yet also suitable for long drives and, of course, highly sought-after for events.
