**About Mapped** Mapped is an AI\-powered data platform for commercial and industrial spaces that helps property owners, facility operators, and solution providers to rapidly access real\-time data from building systems, sensors, devices, and vendor APIs by automating the data discovery, extraction, and normalization process. Mapped uses machine learning to abstract the complexities of data integration to create an independent data layer with an open\-source data model **About the role** As a member of the Mapped SRE team, you will be resposible for all core services powering our infrastructure, data pipelines and AI model training workflows. This is a senior role reporting directly to the CTO. **What you'll do** * **Automate** management, scaling, and monitoring of core infrastucure and data services. * **Develop** internal tools for Mapped engineers; allowing them to ship awesome customer\-facing features with confidence multiple times a day. * Ensure end\-to\-end **security** and continuous SOC2 and PCI compliance. * Balance **cost** vs implementation speed. Find ways to reduce operational overhead without impacting users. * **Recommend** new technologies. Find opoprtunities to consolidate / collapse tech stack. * Be an **advocate**. Speak at local conferences / meetups on a range of topics. **Qualifications** * **Kubernetes** * + **kubctl** fundamentals + **ArgoCD** is a plus * **IaC** * + Pulumi experience is peferred. Other IaC is OK too. * **GitOps** * + GitHub Actions + SSH + RBAC * **Basic networking knowledge** * + TCP/IP + CIDR + Layer 7 Routing (HTTP, GRPC) + Cloudflare Tunnels * **Proficient in Typescript** * + Familiar with Go and Python a major plus. * **Azure** * + VNet + AKS + Storage Accounts * **Data Management** * + Cassandra + MongoDB + Redis + Elastic Search **Location** This is a hybrid position in Lisbon, Portugal. We expect that you will be in the office 2\-3 days per week. This is not a strict requirement.
