About the Role As a Front Desk Host, you will be the main point of contact for our hotel guests, coliving residents, and coworking members during day and afternoon shifts. Working closely with our Front Office Manager and Community Manager, you will handle daily arrivals, guest inquiries, room bookings, and front desk operations. You will ensure smooth day\-to\-day operations while delivering genuine, high\-quality service to a diverse, international community. Key Responsibilities Front Office \& Guest Relations: * Deliver a warm, professional, and authentic welcome during check\-in, check\-out, and daily guest interactions. * Manage daily operations using Cloudbeds PMS, including room allocations, guest profiles, payments, and billing. * Handle guest requests, inquiries, and complaints with empathy, efficiency, and a solution\-oriented mindset. Reservations, Sales \& Hub Support: * Assist guests with booking inquiries, extensions, and walk\-in reservations across short and long stays. * Actively promote and upsell hotel services, F\&B offerings, and coworking passes at the desk. * Support the daily flow of the coworking area and meeting rooms (access, basic inquiries, and orientation) in coordination with the Community Manager. * Maintain clear operational communication and smooth shift handovers with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and the Night Auditor. Requirements \& Qualifications Experience \& Attitude: Previous experience in Front Office/Reception is a plus, but attitude, energy, and alignment with Canaan Hub’s concept are what matter most! Open to junior candidates with strong interpersonal skills and a desire to learn. Languages: Fluency in English and Portuguese is mandatory. Working knowledge of French or Spanish is a strong advantage. Skills: Excellent communication, customer service orientation, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a vibrant environment. Systems: Familiarity with hotel PMS software (Cloudbeds experience is a strong advantage) and comfortable learning new digital tools. Availability: Flexibility to work rotational day shifts (mornings and afternoons), including weekends and public holidays. (Night shifts are covered by our dedicated Night Auditor).
