Transform data into actionable insights and productive solutions Continental is recruiting a Senior Data Scientist to join its Digital Solutions division in Lousado, with a flexible work model. Continental is a global automotive company and one of the leading tire manufacturers, developing sustainable, safe, and convenient solutions for automotive OEMs, industrial customers, and end consumers. In this role, the selected candidate will be involved in transforming data into intelligent and scalable solutions, developing advanced data science models with impact on digital products for global fleet customers. **Responsibilities:** Lead technical development projects, including scope definition, concept design, and proof-of-concept activities; Report project progress to stakeholders; Design and develop data science models to solve complex customer problems; Conduct proof-of-concept activities to assess feasibility and scalability; Build and implement validated models into production-ready solutions; Ensure model robustness, maintenance, and lifecycle management; Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements; Facilitate workshops and translate technical topics into clear, accessible language; Collaborate with MLOps Engineers and Data Engineers on data-driven projects; Transform data into actionable insights and productive solutions; Mentor and guide junior Data Scientists; Review technical work and promote best practices; Organize knowledge-sharing sessions. **Requirements:** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technologies, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; More than 4 years of experience as a Data Scientist; Strong programming skills in Python and SQL; Solid knowledge of machine learning and AI, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, and time-series analysis; Proficiency in cloud platforms and big data technologies; Advanced skills in exploratory data analysis and dashboarding; Practical experience with data engineering tools such as Airflow; Solid understanding of MLOps practices and model deployment; Experience with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban; Ability to work effectively in a team; Structured, autonomous, and organized working style; Fluent English, both spoken and written. **Preferred Qualifications:** Experience in connected mobility, fleet, or IoT projects; Experience deploying models in production environments; Experience working in international and multidisciplinary teams; Ability to communicate technical results to non-technical audiences; Experience in AI-based digital solutions for safety, efficiency, and performance optimization. **Offer:** Flexible work model; Integration into an international and challenging work environment; Participation in digital projects related to connected mobility and global fleet solutions; Agile and collaborative working style; Interaction with multidisciplinary teams and international stakeholders; Continuous development opportunities, talent promotion, and training; Integration into a global organization.
