Side Impact Rotation The excellent side impact protection of the iZi Up X3 Fix now includes an additional feature: SIR – Side Impact Rotation. This means that, in the event of a side impact, the infant car seat will rotate inward toward the center of the vehicle, turning the child away from the point of impact instead of throwing them forward against the door—a common occurrence in side-impact accidents. It is very easy to install using the vehicle’s ISOfix fittings and can also be used as a standard iZi Up X3 Fix child seat in vehicles without ISOfix fittings. Consequently, older children will be protected in the safest and most frequent manner possible—and for the longest possible time. Click the two ISOfix anchors into place and use the three-point seat belt for the child. The iZi Up X3 Fix has no confusing belt horns.
