Anna de Sommer Champalimaud e Dr. Carlos Montez Champalimaud (Champalimaud Foundation) in the context of the project entitled “Cognitive motor interference to predict Postoperative Delirium”, with reference “2023\.15471\.PEX” from the call Nº “PEX2023”, funded by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT). **The selected candidate will:** * Recruit and assess patients; * Setup databases and populate them; * Analyze data (psychophysical assessments and movement data) **Employer:** Champalimaud Foundation **Number and type of fellowships or contracts to be awarded:** 1 fellowship **Application start date:** 20/08/2026 **Application closing date:** 02/09/2026 **Expected position starting date:** 15/09/2026 **Required Education Level:** Bachelor #### **Requirements** Research Field: Psychological sciences Education Level: Bachelor Degree or equivalent #### **Skills / Qualifications** ##### ***Minimum qualifications:*** The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Psychological sciences or other similar areas.\- Valid licence to perform animal experimentation; ##### ***Essential skills:*** Should have some practical experience in research projects in the area of Psychological sciences or other similar, requiring recruitment and assessment (psychometric assessments and psychophysical paradigms) of clinical populations. ##### ***Desirable skills that will also be considered:*** Preference will be given to candidates with appropriate training in clinical assessment, and experience in literature review and multidimensional data analysis. #### **Languages** ENGLISH Level: Excellent #### **Benefits** Full immersion into a research excellence ecosystem with highly motivated researchers, supported by state\-of\-the\-art technology and continuous development opportunities. **Remuneration:** 1090\.98 Euros as determined by FCT, I.P. Scientific Fellowships regulations for Portugal (www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores) and the Fellowship Regulations of the Champalimaud Foundation. Potentially, this value may be increased with other funds, according to experience and performance. The fellowship will be paid monthly by bank transfer. The fellowship holder will have personal accident insurance and, if not covered by any social protection scheme, can ensure the right to social security through adherence to the voluntary social insurance scheme. The Fellowship will have the duration of 4\.5 months, never surpassing the termination date of the project, expected at 31/01/2027\. The position is expected to start on or after 01/04/2025, in exclusiveness regime, as regulated by Lei n.º 40/2004, de 18 de Agosto, FCT (Estatuto do Bolseiro de Investigação Científica) and FCT Research Fellowship Regulations, as well as the Fellowship Regulations of the Champalimaud Foundation. #### **Eligibility criteria** National, Foreign or Stateless candidate(s) who hold a Bachelor degree in Psychological sciences, Engineering, Neurosciences or other related scientific areas and a scientific and professional curriculum that reveals a profile appropriate to the activity to be developed. In case of degrees awarded by foreign higher education institutions, the degree must comply with the provisions of Decree\-Law No. 341/2007, of 12th of October, and all formalities established therein must be fulfilled by the deadline for application submission. #### **Selection process** Candidates will be screened to determine eligibility based on minimum qualifications listed in call. Candidates meeting minimum requirements will be scored according to the required application materials: * CV 70% weighting, * Motivation letter 20%, * Interview 10% (in case of a tie).
