Job Summary: We are seeking a Costing / Valuation Technician to support cost analysis and proposal preparation for an EMS company serving domestic and international clients. Key Highlights: 1. Interaction with various departments: Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Commercial We are a Portuguese Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) company based in Aveiro, operating domestically and internationally, and we are expanding our team by hiring a Costing / Quotation Technician to support cost analysis and proposal preparation for national and international clients. **About the Role:** We are a Portuguese **Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS)** company located in Aveiro, with operations and clients both domestically and internationally. We are expanding our team with a **Costing / Quotation Technician** to support new product analysis, production cost calculation, and proposal preparation for clients. We seek a candidate with a **technical background and industrial experience**, strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. **Prior engineering qualification or previous costing experience is not mandatory.** We equally value candidates with technical education and experience in Electronics, Production, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields. **Key Responsibilities:** * Analyze **BOMs (Bill of Materials)** and technical documentation for new products; * Identify components, materials, and manufacturing processes required for production; * Support production cost calculation; * Calculate costs associated with electronic components, PCBs, manufacturing processes, and labor; * Prepare **commercial quotations and proposals** for clients; * Collect cost and process time data from **Procurement, Engineering, and Production** departments; * Support identification of component alternatives and cost reduction opportunities; * Support the Commercial team in preparing technical and financial proposals; * Participate in analysis of new projects and manufacturing processes; * Maintain and update cost information in the company’s tools and systems. **Ideal Candidate Profile:** * Technical or vocational education in **Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Production**, or a related field; * Professional experience in an **industrial environment**; * Proficiency in **Excel**; * Ability to interpret technical documentation; * Strong analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills; * Good command of **English**; * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience in the electronics industry or **EMS**; * Familiarity with **BOM (Bill of Materials)**; * Knowledge of **SMT / THT** processes; * Experience with **ERP / MRP** systems; * Experience in **costing, quotation, or cost analysis**. **No prior costing experience? No problem.** If you have technical or industrial work experience and believe you possess analytical capability and willingness to learn, we want to meet you.
