Almeida, S.A. is a leading company in the home textiles sector. Today, it employs over 750 qualified professionals and operates a modern industrial park in Guimarães, enabling rapid and demanding responses to customer requirements. As part of strengthening our Sewing Team, we seek to hire a Quality Controller to perform quality control throughout the production process and on the final product, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, order requirements, internal procedures, and defined quality standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: \- Interpret technical specifications, requirements, approved samples, and other applicable quality requirements for orders; \- Conduct inspections at various stages of the sewing process and on the final product; \- Perform defined tests and verifications for product and production process control; \- Verify measurements, seams, finishes, construction, presentation, and other article characteristics according to established conformity criteria; \- Identify, classify, record, and report detected defects, deviations, and non-conformities; \- Flag and route non-conforming articles, ensuring correct identification and traceability; \- Verify compliance with applicable production procedures, work instructions, and quality standards; \- Communicate non-conformities to production teams and respective supervisors, contributing to their timely correction; \- Confirm article conformity after correction or rework and collaborate in preventing defect recurrence; \- Ensure completion and updating of the company-defined quality control records. REQUIRED PROFILE: \- Professional experience in quality control, textile sewing, or similar functions; \- Knowledge of sewing processes and common defects related to seams, measurements, finishes, and article presentation; \- Ability to interpret technical specifications, order requirements, samples, measurement charts, and conformity criteria; \- Ability to conduct product and production process control inspections and tests; \- Ability to identify, classify, record, and clearly and objectively communicate non-conformities; \- User-level computer skills for information retrieval and record keeping; \- Availability for Day Shift (08:00–17:00) and/or Second Shift (14:00–22:00); \- Rigor, critical thinking, observational ability, and attention to detail; \- Sense of responsibility, autonomy, and organizational ability; \- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with production teams; \- Constructive attitude in identifying deviations and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
