This will significantly increase your chances of success #### **About the Opportunity** We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation and operation of secure, scalable and container\-native cloud platforms within the banking sector. You will work with modern DevOps technologies, including Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana and Kafka. The role combines hands\-on engineering with architectural guidance, platform governance, automation, observability and operational excellence. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced DevOps professional who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, influencing technical decisions and improving the reliability of critical banking platforms. #### **Key Responsibilities** * Design, implement and operate container\-native, cloud\-focused platforms. * Provide architectural advice, technical guidance and supervision. * Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins. * Automate infrastructure configuration and operational processes with Ansible. * Administer and optimise Linux server environments. * Deploy and manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes. * Implement monitoring and observability solutions with Prometheus and Grafana. * Support and improve Kafka\-based streaming infrastructure. * Track security risks, vulnerabilities and technical obsolescence. * Define and promote platform security, reliability and operational best practices. * Automate repetitive operational tasks and improve platform efficiency. * Monitor system health, performance, availability and capacity. * Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, Security and Operations teams. * Contribute to incident resolution, root\-cause analysis and continuous improvement. #### **Mandatory Requirements** * At least 6 years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering or a similar role. * Strong hands\-on experience with Jenkins. * Practical expertise using Ansible for automation and configuration management. * Advanced knowledge of Linux server environments. * Strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker. * Proven experience with monitoring and observability technologies, particularly Prometheus and Grafana. * Experience with system design, systems integration and cloud technologies. * Knowledge of Kafka or other distributed streaming technologies. * Experience building, maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines. * Understanding of infrastructure security, vulnerability tracking and obsolescence management. * Ability to provide architectural guidance and influence technical decisions. * Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem\-solving skills. * Expert\-level English. * Availability to work on\-site in Lisbon twice per week. #### **Preferred Qualifications** * Previous experience in banking, financial services or another highly regulated sector. * Experience operating critical, high\-availability production environments. * Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code practices. * Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP. * Familiarity with secrets management, access control and security hardening. * Experience with incident management, root\-cause analysis and operational support. * Knowledge of logging and tracing platforms. * Experience defining Service\-Level Indicators, Objectives and Agreements. * Familiarity with GitOps and modern platform\-engineering practices. * Experience mentoring engineers or acting as a technical reference. #### **Ideal Candidate Profile** The ideal candidate is a senior, hands\-on DevOps professional with a strong background in Linux, automation, CI/CD, containers and observability. You can move comfortably between architecture and implementation, providing technical guidance while remaining actively involved in building and operating platforms. You understand the reliability, security and governance requirements of critical banking systems and are confident working with multidisciplinary teams. You are proactive, analytical and comfortable taking ownership of complex technical challenges.
