**About the Position**

The Ribera LAB, part of the Ribera Group in Portugal, is recruiting an Operations Manager for its laboratory. Reporting directly to the General Director, this professional will play a central role in the laboratory’s operational and strategic management, ensuring process excellence, regulatory compliance, resource efficiency, and team development. This role requires strong business orientation, identification of growth opportunities, establishment of relationships with clients and partners, and contribution to the unit’s expansion.
**Main Responsibilities**

* Coordinate and optimize laboratory operations to ensure high standards of quality and efficiency;
* Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and quality standards;
* Manage budgeting, procurement, logistics, and stock control;
* Lead, develop, and train laboratory teams;
* Identify commercial development and activity growth opportunities;
* Build relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders;
* Support the definition and implementation of the laboratory’s growth strategy;
* Act as the liaison between laboratory operations and Ribera Group management.
**Requirements and Competencies**
-----------------------------
* Bachelor’s degree in Management, Economics, Engineering, Health Sciences, or a related field;
* Proven experience in operational management roles, preferably in a laboratory or healthcare setting;
* Knowledge of quality management systems and applicable laboratory standards (preferred);
* Strong results- and business-development orientation;
* Solid financial management skills, including budget preparation and cost control;
* Leadership, organizational, and team management capabilities;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Strategic vision, autonomy, and implementation ability.
