Job Summary: We are seeking an Inspection Engineer to join our Industrial Business Unit, focused on defining and implementing inspection and testing plans, analyzing results, and promoting fitness-for-service studies. We count on your energy. **Inspection Engineer** **Join Galp and bring your curiosity and passion to everyday work** You will join the Industrial Business Unit, which includes refining, logistics, and cogeneration activities across the Iberian Peninsula, as well as the Sines Refinery transformation project through green hydrogen and biofuels. **Learn more about your future team:** You will become part of the Inspection Team, integrated within the Asset Integrity Directorate of the Sines Refinery. **Discover more about your day-to-day responsibilities:** * Define and implement In-Service and Out-of-Service Inspection and Testing Plans for Units. * Support procurement processes related to Inspection activities, including: + Specialized technical services for performing tests (destructive and non-destructive) and studies; + Techniques and technologies supporting monitoring, assessment, condition evaluation, and remaining life estimation of assets; + Software/platforms supporting analysis and decision-making. * Analyze inspection results to assess equipment condition and estimate remaining service life. * Promote studies aimed at establishing equipment fitness-for-service (risk management in response to changes in condition and/or operating parameters). * Develop operational processes (strategies and methodologies) based on new techniques, technologies, and procedures appropriate for assessing static equipment condition (risk-based management). * Ensure effectiveness of the Area’s Operational Processes (associated inputs/outputs/resources and established KPIs). **What makes you unique:** * Academic degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Materials) * +10 years of experience * Prior professional experience in the chemical industry * Experience coordinating and implementing inspection plans within your area of responsibility, aligned with industry best practices * Experience implementing Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) strategies per API RP 580 and API RP 581 (essential) * Behavioral competencies in communication, teamwork management, and stakeholder management * Analytical and decision-making capabilities * Independent, organized, analytical, and focused on continuous improvement * Ability to innovate and develop new technical and digital initiatives * Digital skills, AI, Power BI, etc. **Your day-to-day at Galp** • An integrated energy company in the energy sector where you can truly make a difference; * Challenging projects; * Competitive salary and bonus scheme; * Health and life insurance for you and your family; * Meal allowance; * 25 days of vacation.
