Job Summary: The Operations Director will be responsible for the day-to-day operations (hard and soft facilities) of a shopping centre in Lisbon, supporting the definition and implementation of investment plans and the management of third-party services. CBRE Portugal is seeking an Operations Director to join its Property Management team, responsible for a shopping centre in the Lisbon area. This position is based at the aforementioned shopping centre in Lisbon. The Operations Director reports hierarchically to the Shopping Centre Director and functionally to the Head of Technical Property Management at CBRE. The selected candidate will be responsible for the shopping centre’s daily operations (hard and soft facilities), while also supporting the definition and implementation of investment plans, as well as preparing tender processes, contracting, and managing third-party services related to Facilities Management. The Operations Director participates not only in tenders for routine services but also for ad-hoc services such as construction works, infrastructure improvements or repairs, managing the entire process—from tendering through construction supervision, handover, and warranty oversight. The role also requires conducting, monitoring, and reporting internal and external technical inspections for the assigned portfolio, ensuring all assets comply with applicable regulations and legal requirements. Competencies • Leadership and management capabilities for multidisciplinary teams. • Financial analysis and management, including Opex control and Capex plan implementation. • Coordination of maintenance contracts—both preventive and corrective—as well as preparation of tender specifications. • Implementation of the ESG plan and management of ISO 9001 standards and BREEAM certification. • Acting as Safety Delegate (self-protection measures). • Identification of opportunities for innovation, service development, and cross\-selling. • Ensuring availability and optimal, efficient operation of asset systems and equipment—including mechanical and electrical equipment. • Participation in defining and monitoring SLAs and KPIs agreed upon with service providers to ensure proper service delivery. Profile We seek dynamic and proactive professionals capable of leading operations with a modern vision and commitment to excellence. * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering. • 7 years’ experience in similar roles. • Proven experience in operational management/maintenance of large-scale assets. • Fluent command of English (mandatory); Spanish proficiency is an advantage. CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Senior Facilities Manager position is $120,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Senior Facilities Manager position is $135,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
