An opportunity to oversee the clinical experience and detailed organization. Dental Assistant \& Patient Manager \| Foramen Dental Education **Location:** Porto (city center) — **Contract type:** Full-time — **Salary:** To be discussed, based on experience About Us Foramen Dental Education is an advanced dental medicine training center, recognized for its practical, distinctive, and highly clinically oriented approach. Our programs — from clinical residencies to intensive courses — combine advanced training with hands-on clinical practice on real patients, within a demanding, dynamic, and highly differentiated environment. For this experience to function at the highest level, one essential component exists: the organization and follow-up of patients participating in the clinical activities of our courses. It is precisely for this area that we are expanding our team. The Challenge We are recruiting a Dental Assistant \& Patient Manager to join the Foramen Dental Education team. This is a hybrid role, combining clinical dental assistance with a significant component of patient management, organization, and follow-up. We seek someone comfortable working within a dental practice, yet also capable of independently organizing and managing the administrative aspects associated with patients enrolled in our training programs. Main Responsibilities **Clinical Assistance** * Preparation and organization of treatment rooms * Assistance to dentists and trainers during clinical procedures, as needed * Preparation of materials, instruments, and equipment required for each procedure * Adherence to disinfection, sterilization, and clinical organization protocols * Support for clinical dynamics across various courses and residencies * Ensuring the clinical space is prepared and organized to receive patients, students, and trainers **Patient Management** * Contacting and following up with patients involved in various training programs * Scheduling appointments and managing calendars according to the clinical needs of each course * Confirming consultations, procedures, and patient availability * Collecting and maintaining organized records and documentation * Tracking each patient’s journey through different treatment phases * Ensuring treatments, consultations, or necessary follow-ups are not missed * Coordinating information among patients, the clinical team, trainers, students, and the training team * Supporting all administrative tasks related to clinical patient management * Anticipating needs and helping resolve unforeseen issues inherent to the dynamics of a clinical training center Who We Are Looking For We seek a highly organized, responsible, dynamic individual with strong anticipation skills. Someone who enjoys the clinical side of dental medicine but is also adept at managing people, schedules, information, and processes. Above all, we seek someone capable of taking a holistic view: understanding what is happening in the clinic, what each patient requires, and what must be prepared to ensure each training program runs smoothly and efficiently. **We particularly value:** * Prior experience as a dental assistant * Solid understanding of dental clinic dynamics and procedures * Excellent organizational skills * Proficiency in calendar management and patient follow-up * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Empathy and care in patient interaction * Proactivity and autonomy * Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously * Attention to detail * Capacity to anticipate problems and identify solutions * Sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit * English language proficiency will be an asset More Than Dental Assistance This role extends beyond in-chair assistance. The person assuming this position will serve as a vital link between patients, the clinical team, trainers, students, and Foramen’s organizational structure. We seek someone who oversees the clinical experience — and everything that happens before and after it. Because in a clinical training center, a positive experience depends equally on treatment excellence and the ability to ensure every patient is supported and every detail is meticulously organized.
