With five production sites (three in France, one in Tunisia, and one in Portugal) and a dedicated service base, the Group currently employs over 1,400 people, fully united around its corporate mission to deliver innovative and eco-responsible marine concepts. **Job Description** We are seeking a **Methods and Industrialization Manager (F/M)** for our site in Aveiro (Portugal). Reporting to the Director of Catana Group Portugal, the Methods and Industrialization Manager serves as the interface between R&D, maintenance, and production. The incumbent defines the resources required to industrialize new products, ensuring compliance with specifications and key requirements regarding quality, cost, lead time, safety, and environmental impact. The incumbent establishes standardized methods and procedures, analyzes production flows, identifies bottlenecks and inefficiencies, proposes solutions, and leads the methods team. The incumbent ensures that production equipment remains in optimal working condition, anticipates potential malfunctions within a defined budget, and leads the maintenance team. Your main responsibilities include: **1. Production Process Optimization and Standardization:** * Challenge and supervise the site’s methods teams in designing and implementing effective work methods to increase productivity and reduce production costs; * Regularly assess existing processes and identify potential areas for improvement, tracking progress achieved; * Ensure implementation of standardized work instructions and operational procedures to guarantee consistency and quality in production; verify proper application thereof. **2. Integration of New Technologies and Investment Oversight:** * Collaborate with the engineering team to evaluate and integrate new technologies, equipment, or automation solutions; * In coordination with the Site Director, propose investments with supporting justifications (ROI, safety, environmental impact, new vessel programs, etc.) and manage follow-up; * Participate in the installation of industrial and operational equipment on-site; * Perform assembly and commissioning of production and operational equipment on-site; * Work closely with the Quality Department to ensure product conformity with standards and specifications; * Train employees on the use of new technologies; * Manage costs (labor and materials). **3. Management and Coordination of Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Activities:** * Lead and manage the maintenance team (scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, training, etc.); * Develop and/or update the maintenance plan and implement the preventive maintenance schedule for facilities; * Supervise and ensure compliance of all maintenance work performed (internal and subcontracted); * Respond promptly to breakdowns and malfunctions, repairing and restoring equipment operation while managing priorities; * Provide technical support to other departments; update technical documentation for facilities and machinery; * Complete intervention records (maintenance files) and relay relevant information to concerned departments; **4. Continuous Improvement and Maintenance Plan Optimization:** * Contribute to optimizing the maintenance plan and enhancing industrial infrastructure (budget, development of new tools, etc.); * Propose machine performance improvements related to cost-efficiency and utilization rates; * Monitor maintenance data (reporting); analyze and address recurrent failures. **Candidate Profile** **Required Profile:** You hold a Master’s degree or equivalent (e.g., engineering, management, or technical school). You have significant experience (5+ years) in a similar role within an industrial group, ideally in the construction of large pleasure craft. You are proficient in CAD software (e.g., CATIA-3DEXPERIENCE). You are skilled in office applications (e.g., Excel) and integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. You are familiar with industrial work methodologies (production, maintenance, quality, etc.) and associated standards (PDP, cycle times, assembly and instruction sheets, etc.). You possess strong project management skills and expertise in budget definition and monitoring (including setting action priorities and allocating resources, personnel, and timelines). You are fluent in English and ideally also speak Portuguese and French.
