Job Summary: A Teach For Portugal mentor will join an educational community, supporting teachers and developing projects to promote greater opportunities for students in vulnerable contexts. About the role: Teach For Portugal (TFP), part of the global Teach For All network, works to ensure all children reach their full potential. As a TFP Mentor, you will join, for two years, an educational community located in a context of vulnerability, supporting teachers and developing projects that promote greater opportunities for students. We want you to apply your expertise in sports science, sports training, sport and leisure, or related fields in a new role: that of a Teach For Portugal Mentor. You will help children from disadvantaged backgrounds develop discipline, resilience, teamwork, and essential life skills by applying sports principles as an educational and inclusive tool. You will also gain contextual knowledge applicable later in your career in education, coaching, community intervention, youth development, or social impact. What do we offer? A two-year formative, professional, and paid Leadership Development Program; Gross remuneration of €29,000, distributed over the 22 months of the full-time contract; 300 hours of training, including four weeks of initial intensive residential training (theoretical and practical); Individualized pedagogical and leadership mentoring by a pedagogical tutor; Internal and external job shadowing: opportunity to explore other contexts related to education or social impact during the summer between the two program years; Career mentoring; Benefits policy (in accordance with organizational agreements); Real and direct impact inside and outside the classroom.
