Join Essity and take your first professional steps while helping us break barriers to well ‑ being. **About the role** As an Accounts Payable Trainee, you will join Essity’s Global Business Services team in Lisbon, supporting accounts payable activities in Europe. This is a hands\-on learning opportunity where you will gain exposure to core finance processes while working closely with experienced professionals in an international setting. You will be part of a collaborative Finance team within our Business Shared Service Centre, where accuracy, teamwork, and continuous improvement are key. Throughout the traineeship, you will develop a strong understanding of the end\-to\-end accounts payable cycle, internal controls, and stakeholder collaboration, while building a solid foundation for a future career in finance. **What You Will Do** * **Invoice Processing:** Support the processing and validation of supplier invoices in line with internal guidelines and service level agreements. * **Supplier Statements:** Review and process supplier statements, payment reminders and ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies. * **Stakeholder Support:** Collaborate with internal stakeholders to respond to queries and support smooth day\-to\-day operations. * **General Ledger Support:** Assist with basic general ledger reconciliations and accounting activities. * **Internal Controls:** Participate in key internal control activities to ensure compliance and process integrity. * **Process Learning:** Observe and learn best practices by shadowing experienced colleagues across accounts payable activities. **Who You Are** * You are currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. * You have a strong interest in finance operations and are motivated to learn about accounts payable processes in a global environment. * You are comfortable working with MS Office tools and are keen to develop your technical and analytical skills. * You bring strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, good time management, and the ability to work accurately while meeting deadlines. * You are comfortable communicating in English, both written and spoken, to collaborate with international teams. * **All resumes should be submitted in English** . **What We Can Offer You** Our purpose, Breaking Barriers to Well\-being, provides meaning to everything we do.
