Strong potential for learning and growth Adaptfy is looking for a Data Governance Implementation Lead to join its Data & Analytics team at its Digital Campus in Porto, working in a hybrid model. Adaptfy is a data & analytics solution for the SHV group of companies, created through a joint venture between SHV and Metyis. The company supports various SHV groups in applying data, artificial intelligence, and analytics across multiple business areas, international markets, and value chains. In this role, you will help one of the SHV group companies transform data governance from concept into daily practice, working with business and IT stakeholders to define ownership, improve data quality, document processes, and establish practical governance routines. **Responsibilities:** Work integrally within an SHV group company to implement practical data governance capabilities into daily operations; Identify priority data domains, stakeholders, pain points, and governance gaps jointly with business and IT teams; Define and document clear roles and responsibilities—including data owners, data stewards, data custodians, and decision forums; Help establish practical routines for data quality management, issue resolution, access governance, metadata documentation, and change management; Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders to align on ownership, definitions, rules, and decision-making processes; Support the creation of a Data Governance Council or a lighter working group, as needed; Translate governance concepts into templates, playbooks, and clear, usable ways of working; Capture learnings from the first implementation and help Adaptfy turn them into reusable accelerators for other SHV groups; Collaborate with Adaptfy teams across data engineering, analytics, architecture, privacy, security, and business consulting; Contribute to the long-term development of Adaptfy’s data governance offering. **Requirements:** 4–6 years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, analytics, business analysis, reporting, compliance, or related fields; Strong interest in data governance and willingness to grow into a broader leadership role in this area; Proactive, hands-on profile, capable of tackling ambiguous topics and turning them into concrete next steps; Strong communication skills and ability to explain data concepts to both business and technical audiences; Experience working with multiple business and IT stakeholders; Ability to structure problems, document processes, define responsibilities, and establish clear working agreements; Confidence facilitating workshops, asking insightful questions, and driving alignment across teams; Good understanding of data quality, data ownership, metadata, access management, or reporting processes; Curiosity, resilience, and a continuous improvement mindset; Ability to work autonomously while knowing when to seek senior support. **Preferred Qualifications:** Experience with data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK or CDMP; Experience with governance, cataloging, or data quality tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Microsoft Purview, or similar; Experience in ESG, Finance, HR, Operations, Supply Chain, or another business domain where data quality and ownership are critical; Experience in consulting or within international or multi-entity organizations; Basic knowledge of SQL, BI, or data platforms; Knowledge of GDPR or other data protection principles. **Offer:** Practical opportunity to help build data governance with real business impact—going beyond theory; Opportunity to create the first reusable data governance building blocks for Adaptfy and the SHV group of companies—including templates, ways of working, and implementation approaches; Collaborative and inclusive work environment, embedded within a central unit for data, artificial intelligence, and analytics supporting SHV companies globally; Engagement with business and IT stakeholders from Adaptfy and SHV—starting with an integrated implementation and evolving toward cross-group impact; Senior support and coaching from experienced colleagues in data, analytics, architecture, privacy, security, and business consulting; Role with strong potential for learning and growth—ideal for those aiming to advance into data governance leadership; Hybrid work model, with regular travel to SHV companies during key implementation phases; Culture that values curiosity, ownership, diversity, equity, inclusion, high ethical standards, confidentiality, and responsible data use; Exposure to industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving best practices in data governance. **Diversity and Inclusion:** Adaptfy values diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in all forms, believing these dimensions make the organization stronger and foster creativity and innovation.
