If you enjoy navigating complex environments, influencing critical decisions and combining engineering understanding with commercial leadership, this could be the opportunity you have been looking for. ##### **Your mission** As **Senior Contract Manager**, you will lead the contractual strategy and governance of complex Data Center projects across Portugal. You will act as a trusted advisor to Project Directors, Engineering Managers and senior leadership, helping teams anticipate risks, manage change effectively, develop robust commercial positions and navigate challenging project situations with confidence. This is a highly visible role where your decisions will directly influence project outcomes, client relationships and business performance. ##### **What will you be doing?** * Leading contract management activities across major engineering and construction\-support projects. * Driving contractual strategy, governance and risk management throughout the project lifecycle. * Managing variations, change orders, claims, delay events, disruption events and commercial negotiations. * Supporting Project Directors and engineering leaders in complex client discussions. * Developing claim strategies, executive briefings and contract management plans. * Coordinating with legal advisors, commercial teams, planners and technical specialists to build strong contractual positions. * Identifying risks early and implementing proactive mitigation strategies. * Establishing best practices, templates, reporting frameworks and governance processes. * Promoting a culture of accountability, contractual awareness and disciplined project execution. * Acting as a senior representative of Quark in discussions with clients, developers, contractors, investors and consultants. ##### **What are we looking for?** We are seeking a senior professional who combines strong project delivery experience with deep contractual and commercial expertise. Ideally, you will bring: * A degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline. * 12\+ years of experience in engineering, construction, infrastructure or mission\-critical projects. * Previous experience in leadership positions such as Engineering Manager, Project Manager, Project Director, Design Manager or similar technical management roles. * Strong expertise in contract administration, claims management, change control and commercial negotiations. * Experience working on complex buildings, major infrastructure or mission\-critical facilities. * Ability to understand technical documentation, design deliverables, project schedules and contractual interfaces. * Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills. * Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
