The professional will play a key role at the **Technology-Business interface**, participating from understanding business needs and defining solutions through to implementation, configuration, and maintenance of data environments and pipelines. We seek someone with **strong communication skills, autonomy, and business acumen**, capable of transforming internal business requirements into structured, scalable, and sustainable data solutions. **Key Responsibilities** -------------------------------- * Develop, maintain, and evolve **data ingestion, transformation, and processing pipelines (ETL/ELT)**. * Develop and optimize queries and structures using **SQL**. * Configure, administer, and optimize environments and workloads in **Azure Databricks**. * Process data using **Spark/PySpark**. * Build and evolve data solutions within the **Microsoft Azure** environment. * Work with **Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage/Data Lake, and Azure SQL**. * Support the definition of **Data Lake / Lakehouse** architectures and solutions. * Ensure quality, performance, reliability, and availability of data pipelines. * Perform troubleshooting and analysis of issues related to data processing, integration, and delivery. * Participate in meetings with business areas to gather and understand requirements. * **Translate business requirements into technical requirements and data projects**, proposing appropriate architectures and approaches. * Support estimation, scope definition, architecture, effort assessment, and planning of initiatives. * Collaborate closely with Analytics, BI, Architecture, Systems, and corporate teams. * Contribute to data engineering standards, governance, and security best practices. **Technical Knowledge** -------------------------- **Mandatory** * Solid experience with **SQL**. * Hands-on experience with **Azure Databricks**, including platform configuration and usage. * Knowledge of **Spark / PySpark**. * Experience building and maintaining **ETL/ELT** pipelines. * Experience with data environments on **Microsoft Azure**. * Knowledge of **Azure Data Factory**. * Knowledge of Data Lake, Lakehouse, and data modeling. * Experience with Git and version control practices. **Desirable** * Azure DevOps and **CI/CD** practices. * Delta Lake and Medallion architecture. * Python applied to Data Engineering. * Knowledge of data governance, quality, and observability. * Experience integrating data from **SAP**. * Familiarity with AWS environments. * Experience in large-scale corporate environments with multiple business units. **Behavioral Profile** ------------------------- * **Excellent communication skills with business areas and stakeholders.** * Ability to lead requirement-gathering and definition meetings. * Consulting mindset with capacity to question and understand the business’s true needs. * Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions. * Proactivity and autonomy to propose alternatives. * Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. * Ease of collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. * Critical perspective on data solution architecture, quality, performance, and cost. **Expected Differentiator** ------------------------ More than a purely technical profile, we seek a professional capable of acting as a **bridge between Data Engineering and Business**, participating in initiative conception and helping internal areas transform needs and opportunities into **technically viable data projects that generate value for the organization**.
