Join Axians, where innovation thrives on trust and autonomy, and every challenge is an opportunity to build impactful technology. **DATA ENGINEER (DATA GOVERNANCE)** **What We’re Looking For** We are seeking a professional responsible for defining, implementing, and evolving Data Governance and Data Quality practices, ensuring adoption of standards, policies, and processes that promote data quality, consistency, and reliability. This role will play a pivotal part in aligning business units with technical teams, contributing to data management maturity and the success of strategic transformation initiatives. **Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities** * Define, document, and evolve Data Governance and Data Quality frameworks, standards, policies, processes, and guidelines. * Define methodologies, metrics, KPIs, and monitoring processes for Data Quality. * Develop and maintain standards, best practices, and guidelines for implementing Data Governance and Data Quality initiatives. * Plan and execute strategic initiatives and projects—from requirements gathering through implementation and performance tracking. * Define reporting mechanisms and monitor maturity, adoption, and effectiveness indicators for data management and quality practices. * Promote alignment among Data Owners, Data Stewards, technical teams, and business units. * Develop supporting materials, training content, and capacity-building activities to ensure consistent adoption of defined practices. * Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in data governance processes and models. **Your Key Competencies** * Solid knowledge of Data Governance and Data Quality practices, frameworks, and processes. * Experience in Data Ownership, Data Stewardship, Business Glossary, Data Catalog, Data Lineage, and Data Quality. * Ability to define standards, models, and Data Governance solutions. * Experience with Data Governance and/or Data Quality tools. * Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills—both technical and business-oriented. * Ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders across an organization. * Analytical and structured thinking. * Proactivity, autonomy, and orientation toward continuous improvement. * Experience in collaborative, multicultural, and multidisciplinary team environments. * Strong commitment to delivery quality. **Your Key Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Management, or a related field. * Knowledge of databases and analytical technologies, including Data Lake, Lakehouse, and NoSQL storage architectures. * Experience with at least one cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform. * Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks—including concepts, architectures, and data management and governance capabilities. * Knowledge of the Energy & Utilities sector. * Familiarity with GDPR and best practices in privacy and data protection. * Experience in strategic or organizational transformation projects. * Knowledge of Agile methodologies. * Experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence. * Fluency in Portuguese and English (spoken and written); Spanish is a plus. **What We Offer:** **Stable Professional Career** Working on Axians projects makes you a valuable asset—we aim to offer stability through a secure career path. **Career Progression Opportunities** You’ll have access to training programs and new certifications to further enhance your skills. 360° evaluations by managers and peers also support your development. **Work-Life Balance** Collaborating with Axians offers flexibility to balance professional demands with family needs—ensuring neither area is neglected. **Competitive and Attractive Compensation** Working with Axians clients grants access to performance bonuses, in addition to an attractive salary package (base salary + benefits).
