More than managing daily Housekeeping operations, you will be responsible for building and inspiring a high-performing team, implementing efficient processes, and cultivating a culture where care, attention to detail, and pride in every space are integral to the Canaan Hub experience. From pre-opening preparation through daily operations, you will have the opportunity to create environments where guests feel comfortable, warmly welcomed, and genuinely at home. Key Responsibilities Lead and Inspire the Housekeeping Team * Recruit, onboard, train, and develop the Housekeeping team. * Foster a collaborative, positive, quality-oriented culture where every team member feels valued and motivated. * Lead by example, encouraging teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Prepare the Hotel Opening * Actively participate in all pre-opening phases. * Develop operational procedures, cleaning standards, and workflow processes. * Support recruitment efforts and ensure the department is fully prepared for opening. Create Spaces That Make a Difference * Ensure all guest rooms and public areas reflect Canaan Hub’s identity, standards, and personality. * Cultivate a culture where cleanliness, comfort, and attention to detail contribute to a memorable experience. Manage Housekeeping Operations * Supervise all daily departmental operations. * Manage inspections, laundry, linens, amenities, inventories, and task assignments. * Maintain high standards of quality and operational efficiency. Collaborate with Other Departments * Work closely with Front Office, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, and other teams to ensure seamless operations and an exceptional guest experience. Cost and Resource Management * Manage linens, uniforms, cleaning supplies, amenities, and other consumables. * Control costs and optimize resources to ensure efficient and sustainable operations. Quality Assurance * Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and sustainability. * Implement quality control and continuous improvement processes. Continuous Improvement * Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs). * Identify improvement opportunities and implement actions to strengthen operational efficiency, service quality, and team development. Ideal Candidate Profile * Proven experience as Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Manager, or equivalent role in the hospitality industry. * Experience in hotel opening or pre-opening projects is highly valued. * Strong leadership capabilities, with a practical and inspiring approach. * Excellent organizational, planning, and detail-oriented skills. * Experience managing teams, budgets, inventories, laundry operations, and departmental productivity. * Proficiency in computer applications and experience with hotel management systems (PMS) and/or Housekeeping software. * Fluency in Portuguese (mandatory). Good command of English is an advantage. * Collaborative mindset, emotional intelligence, positive attitude, and passion for creating welcoming environments and delivering memorable experiences.
