This professional will be responsible for developing and optimizing the network infrastructure, focusing on fiber optic networks and transmission systems. In addition to daily activities, the candidate will have the opportunity to participate in national and international projects, aiming not only to implement innovative solutions but also to share *know-how* with peer entities. The experience gained will be transferred to the RCTS, applying best practices in the design, operation, maintenance, and evolution of the network. Join us to build a diverse team where everyone's talent and ideas are valued and respected. **Responsibilities** * Lead and actively participate in national and international projects; * Diagnose complex issues in fiber optic circuits, IP equipment, and optical transmission technologies; * Manage the transmission network supporting the network's *backbone*; * Plan the fiber optic network infrastructure; * Plan, install, and migrate equipment at remote sites; * Ensure compliance with defined SLAs; * Communicate with suppliers and network-served entities, ensuring alignment and service quality; * Document processes and achieved results, ensuring information accuracy and up-to-date status. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (second cycle of the Bologna Process) in Telecommunications, Electronics, or Computer Science; * Solid knowledge of fiber optic networks and related specifications (ISO 11801, ITU-T G.65x), including connectorization systems; * Experience using GIS tools (Geographic Information Systems) and managing their databases; * Experience using CAD tools for network design and planning; * Proven experience of over two years in operating, installing, or managing WDM transmission systems and OTN/G.709 technologies, as well as optical networks; * Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment such as OTDR, optical power meter, OSA, Ethernet/OTN *tester*; * Problem-solving orientation for high-bandwidth and highly complex networks, ensuring mitigation of their impacts; * Critical thinking and attention to detail; * Teamwork orientation; * Goal-oriented mindset, both at the task and project levels; * Good English communication skills, both written and oral. **Other Valued Skills and Knowledge:** * CCNA and/or CCNP certifications, and/or others aligned with the responsibilities; * Network security; * Knowledge of network automation and programming. **Benefits** * Integration into a young and dynamic team with a relaxed environment, where we value closeness and team spirit; * Integration into an entity certified under NP 4552 standard, regarding the Management System for Balancing Personal, Family, and Professional Life; * 35-hour workweek with flexible working hours; * Hybrid work arrangement; * Continuous training aimed at your professional development; * Access to a campus in Lisbon with free parking, welcoming and conveniently located; * Various internal initiatives to promote interaction and camaraderie among employees; * Option to enroll in ADSE (Portuguese National Health Service); * On-site cafeteria; * Objective-based performance management; * Birthday leave.
