Learn more: https://wireco.com/pt/ **Job Description** The industrial maintenance mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of industrial equipment and systems. To perform these functions with excellence, a combination of technical skills, specialized knowledge, and practical competencies is required. 1\. Technical Skills * Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics, including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical diagrams. * Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on machines and equipment. * Assembling and disassembling equipment following appropriate procedures. * Knowledge of metal welding and cutting, such as MIG/MAG welding, shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), and oxy-fuel cutting. * Handling precision tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators. * Lubricating machines and equipment to ensure smooth system operation. * Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including repair of valves, pumps, cylinders, and connections. 2\. Specialized Knowledge * Principles of general mechanics, such as the operation of motors, transmissions, and bearings. * Basic knowledge of electricity and electronics, including simple circuits, electric motors, sensors, and controllers. * Familiarity with industrial automation, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, and actuators. * Understanding of Machinery and Equipment Safety Standards and Electrical Installation and Service Safety Standards. * Knowledge of materials and their properties, such as metals and plastics. * Use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for recording and planning maintenance interventions. 3\. Complementary Competencies * Diagnosis and problem-solving, quickly identifying failures and implementing effective solutions. * Teamwork, collaborating with engineers, technicians, and operators. * Time management, planning and prioritizing tasks to minimize downtime and delays. * Adaptability to technological changes and introduction of new equipment. * Strong communication skills to explain technical issues and solutions to supervisors and colleagues. **Qualifications** * Completion of secondary education through a technical course in industrial mechanics, electromechanics, or related fields. * Specific certifications, such as welding, forklift operation, or working at heights (preferred). * Experience with quality standards and systems such as ISO 9001 (preferred)
