Working for a rapidly growing global fintech **Commercial Consultant, Field Sales – Lisbon** At SumUp, our mission is to empower small businesses worldwide by providing simple and accessible tools that enable them to grow. Over 4 million merchants across 36 markets already trust SumUp to accept payments, manage their money, and develop their businesses. We are expanding our Field Sales team and seeking motivated Commercial Consultants in Lisbon to join us in a position with a formal contract and commissions. This is an ideal opportunity for communicative, results-oriented individuals eager to support local businesses in adopting modern payment solutions. **What You’ll Do** * Identify, approach, and onboard local merchants in Lisbon (cafés, shops, hair salons, restaurants, etc.) * Present and explain SumUp’s payment solutions and terminals * Help merchants create accounts and start processing transactions * Build trusted relationships and represent SumUp in the Lisbon market * Proactively seek new customers and also work on leads provided by SumUp **How You’ll Be Compensated** * Initial commission for each new merchant who purchases a terminal, opens an account, and begins using SumUp * Recurring commissions (lifecycle residuals) as long as merchants in your portfolio continue transacting * Occasional campaigns and incentives with extra bonuses * On average, you can earn approximately **€700 per medium-sized merchant** (with over €10,000 in monthly card volume), of which roughly **€500 is paid as a one-time payment**, and about **€200 represents recurring monthly commissions** * On average, this role involves onboarding **6 to 10 merchants per month** * Monthly payments (via self-billing) to your SumUp Merchant Account, within 30 days after invoice issuance **What We’re Looking For** * Motivation, dynamism, and confidence to approach new people * Strong communication skills and ability to build empathy * Resilience and strong results orientation * Experience in sales or field sales is a plus, but not required * Fluency in Portuguese; English is a plus * Enthusiasm for fieldwork and direct customer interaction **Location** Lisbon, with autonomous scheduling within the city. **Why Join SumUp** * Financial stability with a base salary and transparent commissions * Opportunity to work for a rapidly growing global fintech * Professional development through continuous training * A key role in supporting the growth of local commerce * An international, collaborative, and motivated team **Apply now** and help small businesses in Lisbon grow with SumUp while advancing your career in sales. **Job Application Tip** We recognise that candidates feel they need to meet 100% of the job criteria in order to apply for a job.
