Charging your car should feel as natural as charging your phone. That's the future we're building: a network of EV chargers where life happens. We don't just install chargers. We **accelerate sustainable mobility.** We **obsess over partnerships.** We **grow relentlessly**: our network, our partners, and ourselves.
If you're here, you're probably not looking for "just a job." Neither are we. We're driven by impact and always looking for people who thrive on turning bold ideas into reality. If that sounds like you, you'll feel at home here. We're looking for people who see challenges as puzzles, not problems, thrive in fast\-growing, high\-energy environments, and want to shape the future of mobility, not just watch it unfold. At Powerdot, you'll get **freedom**, **ownership**, and **responsibility**. The space to experiment. The chance to scale your ideas. And a team that's always pushing the edge of what's possible.
**About this Role**
As our Network **Running Operations Manager,** you'll own the operational performance of Powerdot's charging network across a Portuguese region, while contributing to Iberian initiatives and projects. You'll manage the local Ranger / Field Operations team, prioritize interventions, coordinate service providers, and work closely with hardware suppliers and technical teams to keep our chargers available, reliable, and delivering the expected charging experience.
Your mission is to maximize charging network performance by reducing downtime, accelerating issue resolution, and enabling Rangers to deliver the right fix at the right site, at the right time. You'll ensure that technical problems become solved issues rather than recurring failures, unanswered customer complaints, or lost revenue — while creating an environment where your team feels supported, empowered, and motivated to perform at its best.
This isn't a "coordinate from a spreadsheet" role. You'll speak directly with Rangers, service providers, hardware suppliers, and internal technical teams. You'll regularly visit stations, understand what is happening in the field, and occasionally get hands\-on with the equipment yourself. You'll combine operational discipline, technical curiosity, data\-driven prioritization, and strong people leadership to improve network performance across Iberia.
**How You'll Shape Our Story:**
Your day\-to\-day will include:
* **Protecting revenue by reducing downtime** — triaging charger issues, assigning interventions, escalating blockers, and ensuring that the highest\-priority chargers receive the fastest and most appropriate attention.
* **Prioritizing interventions based on business impact** — considering utilization, revenue exposure, charger importance, customer impact, and issue severity when planning operational activity.
* **Turning user frustration into user retention** — connecting negative customer feedback and poor CSAT to operational tickets, ensuring issues are investigated, and closing the loop so recurring problems are resolved rather than left unanswered.
* **Maximizing Ranger impact** — assigning the right person to the right site with the right information and tools, with a focus on resolving issues correctly the first time.
* **Managing and supporting the Ranger team** — setting priorities, removing roadblocks, providing guidance, and creating the conditions for Rangers to perform confidently and effectively in the field.
* **Coordinating service providers and external partners** — following up on interventions, challenging delays, monitoring quality, and ensuring agreed actions are completed within the expected timeframe.
* **Working with hardware suppliers and technical teams** — helping diagnose complex issues, escalating recurring hardware or software problems, and contributing to long\-term corrective actions.
* **Monitoring operational performance** — tracking uptime, mean time to repair, recurring issues, resolution rates, customer feedback, and revenue lost due to charger performance problems.
* **Using data to identify root causes** — distinguishing real performance issues from isolated events, identifying patterns, and converting operational data into targeted improvement actions.
* **Driving issue recurrence reduction** — ensuring that repeated failures are investigated properly and that permanent solutions are implemented instead of relying on temporary fixes.
* **Contributing to Iberian initiatives** — taking responsibility for cross\-market projects that create economies of scale, improve consistency, and standardize operational processes across Portugal and Spain.
* **Maintaining strong field connection** — visiting stations, including regular visits to the North of Portugal, and staying close to the realities faced by Rangers and drivers.
* **Building a high\-performance team culture** — balancing accountability with support, helping Rangers enjoy their work, and ensuring that team performance translates into better network performance.
**This Is About You, Not Us :**
* **1–4 years of effective professional experience** — you can demonstrate that you have made a measurable difference, learned quickly, and taken ownership of meaningful operational outcomes.
* **Native\-level Portuguese and professional English** — Spanish is a strong advantage, particularly when working with Spanish colleagues, suppliers, and local stakeholders.
* **Strong operational and organizational skills** — you can plan, prioritize, follow up, and keep multiple issues moving without losing sight of the most important business outcomes.
* **Analytical thinking** — you don't need to be a data scientist, but you need to distinguish a real problem from a hunch, identify patterns, and use numbers to support decisions.
* **Technical curiosity** — you understand, or are eager to learn, how charging infrastructure works and can distinguish between different types of technical issues, from a simple reboot to a potential hardware failure.
* **Customer\-centric thinking** — you understand that user satisfaction is built when a charger works the first time, every time, at the expected power level.
* **Calmness under pressure** — you stay focused when incidents occur, communicate directly when issues are blocked, and channel your energy into finding practical solutions.
* **People management capability** — you support and challenge Rangers effectively, clear roadblocks, and help technical field teams succeed without adding unnecessary complexity.
* **Cross\-functional collaboration skills** — you work effectively with technical teams, hardware suppliers, service providers, and colleagues across Iberia.
* **An ownership mindset** — you take responsibility for outcomes, follow problems through to resolution, and don't wait for someone else to fix what you can influence.
* **Based in Lisbon** — you are able to visit stations and travel regularly to the North of Portugal, approximately monthly, because strong field operations cannot be managed exclusively through video calls.
**The Kind of Energy We're Looking For:**
* We're not into titles, egos, or corporate buzzwords. We're into people who make things happen.
* **You lead and listen.** You give clear direction, stay close to the team, and create an environment where people feel supported to perform.
* **You own your stuff.** You don't wait for perfect instructions. You identify the issue, take action, and follow through until the outcome is delivered.
* **You're performance\-minded.** You understand that uptime, resolution speed, customer satisfaction, and revenue are connected — and you know how to turn those metrics into action.
* **You've got a green heartbeat.** Sustainability isn't just cool, it's core. You care about building infrastructure that makes electric mobility easier and more reliable.
* **You balance urgency with judgement.** You move quickly when performance is at risk, while making sure actions address the root cause rather than creating more problems.
* **You bring positive energy.** You stay calm under pressure, communicate directly, and know when a bit of humour can help a team navigate a difficult day.
* **You grow on purpose.** You're eager to learn, deepen your technical understanding, and improve the way Powerdot operates across markets.
**How you'll be Powered up?**
* Private health insurance coverage
* Gym membership to support your wellbeing
* + Flexible working hours so you can manage your time effectively
* Annual offsite to celebrate achievements and connect with colleagues
* Regular team\-building activities with your local team
* English training to support collaboration across all markets and teams
* Free office snacks, unlimited coffee, and meal allowance for every worked day
* + ️ Special discounts for charging your electric vehicle
