Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer specializing in speech recognition and natural language processing to optimize systems under real-world conditions and ensure production readiness. Organizational culture rooted in commitment and well-being What We Are Looking For? * Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as an AI Engineer, with strong emphasis on speech recognition and NLP systems; * Proficiency in Python and relevant machine learning frameworks; * Proven experience developing and integrating end-to-end speech recognition and NLP pipelines (ASR, NLU, intent/slot models); * Ability to enhance system robustness across various real-world conditions, including noise, accents, and diverse usage scenarios; * Experience optimizing models for latency and resource constraints, ensuring production readiness in constrained or embedded environments; * Solid knowledge of model evaluation strategies and dataset curation; * Familiarity with voice assistants, conversational systems, edge AI, or embedded ML is a plus; * Multilingual or locale-specific NLP understanding is desirable; * Fluency in English (mandatory); * Resident in Lisbon, available for a hybrid work model; * Eligibility to work in Portugal (Portuguese citizen or valid work authorization).
