Job Summary: We are seeking a Construction Director to coordinate, manage, and ensure technical excellence in construction and engineering projects, leading teams and guaranteeing quality and deadlines. Dynamic and results-oriented work environment A company operating in the civil construction and engineering sector, with a well-established presence in the national market and involvement in high-technical-demand construction, renovation, and contracting projects, seeks to strengthen its operational structure by hiring a Construction Director to oversee projects in the Northern region. Currently, a project in the Matosinhos area is entering its initial phase; therefore, we seek a professional with leadership ability, organizational skills, and on-site technical supervision capability. Responsibilities * Plan, coordinate, and supervise all construction phases * Manage in-house teams and subcontractors (up to 20 people) * Ensure adherence to deadlines, quality, and on-site safety * Monitor production, materials, and support cost management * Attend site meetings and liaise with inspection bodies and clients * Ensure proper technical execution of works in coordination with the site manager * Support preparation of measurements, reports, and site records * Guarantee efficient operational organization of the contract Required Profile * Higher education degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) * Also open to recent graduates or candidates without prior experience * Strong sense of responsibility, organization, and leadership * Communication and team management skills * Initiative and willingness for professional growth * Valid driver’s license and availability for travel within the Northern region Preferred Qualifications * Experience in construction management or site supervision * Knowledge of planning and production management * Problem-solving ability and adaptability to on-site conditions What We Offer * Integration into a growing company with challenging projects * Opportunity for professional development and continuous learning * Participation in projects of varying scale and complexity * Close-knit, dynamic, and results-oriented work environment * Compensation package tailored to candidate profile and demonstrated experience Application Submission: Candidates should submit their CV for review to nb@nelsonbasilio.pt After curriculum evaluation, shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
