Capacity and performance management of the platform to ensure scalability Location: Lisbon, Portugal (hybrid) About the Opportunity IRISTECH is recruiting a Data Integration Platform Engineer Expert to join a project focused on platform engineering and automation within integration platforms, aiming to enhance operational reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement. Unlike a more reactive L3 support role, this position emphasizes proactive engineering: automation, self\-healing, capacity management, and prevention of recurring issues, in an international, cross-functional technical environment with interfaces to both internal and external vendors. Your Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts to reduce manual operational effort * Identify repetitive operational activities and lead automation initiatives (Python, PowerShell, Shell scripting, or platform-specific tools) * Manage platform capacity and performance, ensuring availability, scalability, and optimal resource utilization * Design and implement self\-healing and auto\-remediation solutions for common operational failures * Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform stability and performance * Monitor usage, forecast growth, and perform capacity planning * Identify recurring issues and drive continuous service improvement * Support major incidents and service restoration activities * Serve as the interface between internal and external vendors in an international context What We Are Looking For * 5–7 years of experience managing the MuleSoft platform (platform operations, not API development) * MuleSoft Omni Gateway (Flex Gateway) * Terraform and GitHub * OpenShift * Authentication and authorization mechanisms — OAuth, OpenID * Fundamental knowledge of AWS and Azure * ITIL processes * ArgoCD * Strong stakeholder engagement and technical communication skills in a multicultural environment, including workshop facilitation Nice-to-Have * XML, XSD, WSDL, WS\-\*, Java, JSON * Networking fundamentals (Virtual IPs, firewalls, load balancers) * Certificate lifecycle management * User-level proficiency with SOAPUI and Postman * Linux Conditions * Hybrid work model in Lisbon (on-site days to be confirmed with the client) * Fluent English, C1 level, mandatory * Availability for occasional work outside standard hours * Availability for short-term travel or occasional temporary relocation to other countries If you have solid experience in integration platform automation, capacity management, and MuleSoft operations, and enjoy working in an international technical environment with a strong emphasis on proactive engineering, send us your application.
