For our Topcon Positioning Unit – Portugal, we are seeking a:
**INSTALLATION AND SUPPORT TECHNICIAN FOR CONSTRUCTION MACHINE CONTROL AND GUIDANCE SYSTEMS**
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
* Installation, repair, calibration, technical support, and commissioning of GPS and LPS systems for construction machine guidance and automation in the Northern region of Spain.
* Training for end customers, distributors, and external partners on systems manufactured by our brand.
* Telephone and remote support for colleagues, customers, distributors, and collaborators.
* Collaboration with other team members to resolve incidents.
* Communication via e\-mail or Teams, in English, with the Professional Services department to report incidents, improvements, support requests, etc.
* Field technical assistance across the entire Northern region for equipment repairs, calibration, training sessions, etc.
* Availability to travel Monday through Friday.
* Equipment verification prior to each installation.
* Smooth communication with the support manager and the regional sales team to optimize weekly planning.
* Manufacturing of electrical cables/harnesses according to technical schematics.
* Participation in periodic training sessions at our training center in Concordia sulla Secchia (Modena – Italy).
* Self\-training via our web platform “My Topcon Now” and other tools provided by the company.
* Creation of technical content, such as installation guides and manuals.
**REQUIREMENTS**
**Education & Experience**
* Knowledge of electronics, electricity, electromechanics, and hydraulic systems appropriate for performing the role.
* Minimum 2 years of professional experience with surveying and construction machine control systems: excavators, bulldozers, motor graders, tractors, etc.
* Positive attitude and problem\-solving orientation.
* Proficiency in working with technology.
* Willingness to travel.
* Strong communication skills with colleagues and customers.
* Ability to read and interpret component technical drawings.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams.
* Use of test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, etc.
* Computer proficiency at the Microsoft Office level.
* Problem\-solving skills.
* Good time management and organizational skills.
* Customer\-oriented mindset and focus.
* Strong analytical abilities.
**English – Basic level with technical orientation enabling:**
* Understanding of technical documentation (manuals, guides, specifications).
* Participation in technical training sessions conducted in English.
* Writing of simple technical documentation (reports, instructions, internal documentation).
* Use of domain\-specific terminology.
* Advanced conversational fluency or social fluency is not required, though it is viewed positively.
