Expand market presence, maximize profitability, and achieve business objectives. **Sales Manager Portugal** **m/f** (Águeda/Porto/Lisbon) The Sales Manager Portugal will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for leading and executing the company's commercial strategy across the Portuguese market. It will be expected to be a dynamic, strategic and results\-oriented leader, capable of driving sustainable sales growth, developing high\-performing teams, strengthening key customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding market presence, maximizing profitability, and ensuring the achievement of ambitious business objectives while fostering strong collaboration across internal and external stakeholders. **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Define and execute the national sales strategy for Portugal, ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives and growth targets. * Lead, coach, and develop the sales team, fostering a high\-performance culture focused on results, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. * Drive sales growth across all channels and customer segments, identifying new business opportunities and market expansion initiatives. * Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, wholesalers, aluminium fabricators, system partners, and other strategic stakeholders. * Monitor sales performance through KPIs, ensuring achievement of revenue, profitability, and market share objectives. * Develop annual sales plans, budgets, forecasts, and account strategies, ensuring accurate business planning and performance tracking. * Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product Management, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and other internal departments to maximize business opportunities and customer satisfaction. * Lead negotiations for major commercial agreements and key strategic accounts. * Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify risks and growth opportunities. * Support the introduction of new products, solutions, and commercial initiatives in the Portuguese market. * Ensure effective use of CRM tools, sales reporting, and pipeline management processes. * Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, customer meetings, and professional associations. * Provide regular business reviews and strategic recommendations to senior management. * Ensure compliance with company policies, commercial guidelines, and ethical business practices. **CANDIDATE PROFILE** **Academy requirement** * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. * An MBA or postgraduate qualification in Sales, Management, or Business Administration will be considered an advantage. **Languages:** * Fluent Portuguese and English (written and spoken). * Spanish is a plus. **Experience:*** Minimum 5 years of experience in sales management within the construction, building materials, architectural hardware, aluminium systems, or related industries. * Proven track record of leading and developing high\-performing sales teams. * Demonstrated success in delivering sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and market share expansion. * Experience managing key accounts, distributors, wholesalers, fabricators, and strategic business partners. * Strong background in sales planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance management. * Experience in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications. * Established network within the Portuguese construction market is highly desirable. **Personal Skills:** * Strong leadership and people management capabilities. * Strategic thinker with a strong commercial and business\-oriented mindset. * Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship\-building skills. * Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. * Results\-driven with strong analytical and decision\-making skills. * Self\-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities. * High level of integrity, accountability, and customer focus. * Availability for frequent travel within Portugal. **We are the ASSA ABLOY Group** Our people have made us the global leader in access solutions.
