Participation in challenging projects with industry impact **Description:** ---------------- **Your mission:** We are looking for a Technical Leader \- Digitalization and Data Analysis to join the Materials and Composite Structures team within the INNOMAT, AtlanticHAPS, and EcoSmartech projects, funded by P2030 and co-financed by the European Union through COMPETE2030\. The **INNOMAT** project is an R\&D co-promotion initiative funded under Portugal 2030, focused on developing a new generation of sustainable and intelligent multifunctional composite and laminated materials for mobility and habitat sectors. The **AtlanticHAPS** project aims to develop, manufacture, and validate a High\-Altitude Pseudo Satellite (HAPS) system for remote sensing missions, critical communications, and scientific data collection. The **EcoSmartech** project aims to develop an intelligent and sustainable co\-injection (sandwich injection) process enabling high-percentage reintroduction of polymeric waste into high-value-added components without compromising surface aesthetic or functional quality. **Key Responsibilities:** * Technical leadership of a dedicated team executing product and process digitalization activities for composite materials * Supporting implementation tasks related to simulation model development, data analysis models using AI techniques, digital twin preparation, and similar activities * Supporting implementation tasks related to data acquisition systems, process and structural monitoring systems * Participating in prospecting and preparing project proposals associated with digitalization activities * Promoting team achievements through preparation of publications and participation in conferences **What’s guaranteed for you:** * Participation in challenging and innovative projects with high impact and value generation for industry * Opportunity for personal and professional development in a stimulating, informal environment that encourages and values new ideas * Employment contract with salary conditions aligned with experience, qualifications, and job responsibilities * Flexible working hours and a culture that values work-life balance * Health insurance and access to a network of partnerships and agreements oriented toward individual well-being * 22 vacation days, plus 5 additional days per year, including your birthday **Requirements:** ----------------- * Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering * Experience in mathematical modeling and computational simulation (Essential) * Experience in programming (Python, Julia, etc.), ML tools, and data analysis (Essential) * Experience with general simulation tools, e.g., Abaqus® or Ansys® (Bonus) * Basic knowledge of composite materials and associated processes (Bonus) * Knowledge of data acquisition systems, IoT, and sensors (Bonus) * Knowledge or experience in project management (Bonus) * Existing scientific publications will be valued * Initiative, sense of responsibility, organization, autonomy, resilience, and strong interpersonal skills * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to clearly explain technical concepts * Ability to effectively present results to team members or mentors * Experience working in team environments and/or leading teams * Proficiency in English and Portuguese, both spoken and written
