Receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing goods Join the Reid’s Palace team, a Belmond Hotel, Madeira, as a Storeroom Assistant, where you will contribute to the efficient control and optimized management of all hotel assets and materials—from receipt through distribution to various departments—ensuring quality, cost minimization, and continuous operational support. Key Responsibilities * Receive, inspect, and store goods according to purchase orders and transport documents * Verify quantities, quality, integrity, and expiry dates of received products * Organize the storeroom, ensuring tidiness, cleanliness, hygiene, and correct stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) * Prepare and internally distribute goods according to departmental requisitions (F\&B, Housekeeping, Maintenance, etc.) * Conduct inventory and stock controls, ensuring accurate records and identification of discrepancies * Record receipts, issues, and movements in the internal computer system * Support ordering and stock replenishment processes whenever required * Comply with internal safety standards, HACCP, and hotel operational procedures **Requirements:** What do you bring? * Minimum education level: 12th grade * Prior experience in similar roles (preferably in hospitality) * Strong organizational sense, responsibility, and attention to detail * Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate well across departments * Basic computer skills (stock recording and control) * Proficiency in English * Flexibility to work varied shifts (where applicable) **Benefits:** **We offer:** * Salary above industry average * Health insurance * Life insurance * Complimentary stays at company hotels * Ongoing professional development * Other attractive benefits within the company * Exclusive internal training and development program
