Responsibilities: Prepare and cook dishes according to the hotel's standards and menus. Supervise food handling procedures and ensure consistency and quality. Manage and train kitchen team members. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation, complying with food hygiene and safety regulations. Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef on various processes related to dish creation and improvement. Monitor ingredient stock levels and place requisitions as needed. Requirements: Proven experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role within a professional kitchen / five-star hospitality environment. In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and dish preparation. Ability to work under pressure and during flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Attention to detail and passion for culinary excellence. Formal training in Gastronomy or a related field is preferred. Resident in the Faro area with personal transportation.
