As part of our commitment to advancing the next generation of marine products, we are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the development and integration of mechanical systems across our iconic boat brands. In this role, you will contribute to the design, specification, validation, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems such as fuel, water, HVAC, steering, and onboard equipment. You will use CAE tools and 3D design to ensure robust layouts, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and help bring high‑quality, reliable products successfully to market. Key Responsibilities Mechanical System Design \& Engineering* Develop and integrate mechanical systems including fuel, fresh/black water, HVAC, steering, power generation, and drainage systems. * Create 3D/2D models, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure performance, durability, manufacturability, and regulatory compliance. * Define material and component requirements to support sourcing and supplier development. Cross‑Functional Collaboration* Partner with suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and technical support to ensure smooth integration, successful launches, and effective issue resolution. * Lead and participate in internal and external design reviews, ensuring alignment with technical requirements and program expectations. Quality, Validation \& Compliance* Validate systems through testing, verification, and analysis of warranty/field data. * Approve engineering drawings, ECNs, and technical documentation. * Ensure system compliance with industry standards, regulations, and Brunswick quality expectations. Continuous Improvement* Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, efficiency, and ease of manufacturing. * Support adoption of new technologies, materials, and engineering methods. Qualifications \& Requirements* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). * 3–5\+ years in mechanical design, ideally in marine or industrial applications. * Proficiency in CAD (Siemens NX preferred; SolidWorks, Catia, Creo, or Pro‑E also accepted). * Strong understanding of system‑level engineering, FEA principles, and validation methods (DVP\&R, FMEA). * Strong teamwork, communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office. * Passion for the marine industry; Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus. Working Conditions Exposure to mechanical equipment, airborne particles, and moderate noise. Role requires alternating standing, walking, and sitting, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Travel approximately 25%, with higher frequency during onboarding.
