**Lusosider – Aços Planos, S.A., a company integrated into the CSN Group, a multinational steel producer, seeks to reinforce its Procurement team with a Procurement Buyer.**
Located in Aldeia de Paio Pires (Seixal), Lusosider is a national reference in the processing and marketing of flat steel products, operating in a demanding, dynamic industrial environment focused on continuous improvement.
**Job Mission:**
\- Ensure procurement of materials, equipment, services, and capital investments required for company operations, guaranteeing optimal total cost, quality, delivery lead time, sustainability, and supply chain risk mitigation.
**Main Responsibilities:**
\- Manage purchasing processes for auxiliary materials, services, equipment, and capital investments;
\- Analyze internal requirements and develop appropriate sourcing strategies;
\- Identify, qualify, and develop national and international suppliers;
\- Conduct market inquiries, analyze proposals, and lead negotiation processes;
\- Negotiate contracts, framework agreements, and commercial terms;
\- Monitor purchase orders and contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed timelines, costs, and service levels;
\- Track supplier performance indicators and participate in supplier evaluation and audit processes;
\- Ensure compliance with applicable legal, environmental, health & safety, and quality requirements;
\- Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, and other operational departments to optimize procurement processes;
\- Contribute to cost reduction initiatives, continuous improvement, and digitalization of procurement processes.
**Desired Profile**
**Education:**
\- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, Management, Logistics, or related field.
**Professional Experience:**
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain roles, preferably in an industrial environment;
Proven experience in supplier negotiation and contract management.
**Technical Skills:**
\- Knowledge of Strategic Procurement, Purchasing Management, and Supply Chain Management;
\- Proficiency in negotiation techniques and cost analysis;
\- Familiarity with procurement and inventory management ERP systems — IBM Maximo (preferred);
\- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills;
\- English language proficiency (mandatory) and Spanish (preferred);
\- Knowledge of Incoterms, supplier evaluation, and contract management (preferred).
