The União Metalo-mecânica had to adapt several features in order to export successfully into the competitive British commercial vehicle market. All original UMM specifications appeared in brochures produced by the brand’s local representative—SMC Industrial Ltd.—high-definition printings on glossy, heavy-weight paper. Each brochure contains photographs, information, and technical drawings of UMM Alter II versions specifically manufactured for countries under British influence.
