Function: Jurist – Expropriations Specialist Department: Legal / Technical Direct hierarchical superior: Legal Director / Technical Management Work location: Head office and travel to various locations nationwide Regime: Full-time **1\. Function Mission** Ensure the legal management of expropriation, administrative easements, and land regularization processes, guaranteeing compliance with applicable legislation and the protection of the company’s and its clients’ interests, from the preparatory phase through judicial or administrative resolution. **2\. Main Responsibilities** * Monitor and manage expropriation processes for public utility, from the declarative phase to the compensation phase. * Draft legal opinions and technical notes on the legal framework of expropriations, easements, and land regularization. * Support the technical team in analyzing property titles, land registries, and tax records. * Prepare and review contracts, deeds, and legal drafts related to land acquisitions or transfers. * Represent the company or clients in meetings with public and private entities. * Follow up administrative and judicial proceedings with Municipal Councils, CCDRs, Regional Directorates, and Courts. * Collaborate with the surveying and cadastre team in interpreting and validating maps and descriptive memorials. * Ensure compliance with legal standards, deadlines, and procedures established in the Expropriation Code and related legislation. * Support internal training of the technical team on the legal framework of expropriations. **3\. Job Requirements** Academic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Law. * Valid registration with the Bar Association (preferable). Experience: * Minimum of 5 years of experience in Administrative Law and Expropriations. * Proven experience in expropriation, easement, and land regularization processes. Technical Skills: * Thorough knowledge of the Expropriation Code and related legislation (Urbanization and Building Legal Framework, RJUE; Civil Code; Administrative Procedure Code). * Ability to draft legal documents, analyze documentation, and interpret land registry records and cadastral maps. * Experience in liaising with public and private entities within expropriation processes.
