BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently recruiting a dynamic, results-oriented professional for the position of Warehouse Operator (M/F/D) at our new production facility in Viana do Castelo, Portugal. Responsibilities:* Digitally register material incoming and outgoing transactions in the ERP system; * Carry out material dispatch to internal customers, including supplying production lines using MIZU; * Handle chemicals in compliance with safety regulations for warehouse supply and/or storage purposes; * Identify and segregate waste according to classification, and move it to designated areas; * Handle and transport loads using mechanical equipment such as pallet trucks, stackers, forklifts, and trilaterals; * Receive, unload, and verify goods according to established procedures; * Store products in an organized manner, ensuring space optimization and easy access; * Prepare orders for shipment, including picking, packaging, and labeling; * Conduct inventory counts to ensure stock accuracy; * Report any issues or discrepancies in goods to the Team Leader; * Work as part of a team to achieve operational goals and continuously improve processes; * Comply with internal organizational rules and regulations: Code of Ethics, working hours; * Follow workplace safety and cleanliness regulations; * Adhere to environmental policy regulations; * Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the environmental management system. * Perform other tasks not included in the original scope of work when justified by operational needs or service requirements, for the necessary duration. Education \& Experience* Minimum compulsory education level * Availability for one of the following shifts: * Friday and Monday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM; * Thursday and Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM; * Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or industrial environments (preferred); * Training or experience operating forklifts and trilaterals (preferred); * Basic computer skills (user level, preferred); * Training or experience in waste segregation; * Experience in teamwork and following standard operating procedures; * Responsibility and punctuality, with strong commitment to meeting schedules and tasks; * Teamwork ability, effectively collaborating with colleagues from different areas; * Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in material handling, stock counts, and order preparation; * Proactivity, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and continuously improve; * Organizational skills, maintaining a clean, safe, and functional workplace; * Physical endurance and good disposition for manual tasks such as load handling and prolonged standing; * Adaptability to routines and processes, strictly following operational procedures; * Good interpersonal communication, essential for collaboration in a logistics environment; * Resilience and emotional control, especially during periods of high volume or pressure.
